A visually striking Persian signet-style ring, attributed to Qajar-era Iran, featuring a yellow-metal mount and a dark blue carved stone face. The stone is engraved in intaglio with a winged mythological creature, best described as a winged griffin or lion-griffin motif.
The creature’s form appears to combine a quadruped body with a raised wing, connecting the design to the broader visual tradition of ancient Iranian and Near Eastern hybrid guardian creatures. While the ring itself is attributed to the Qajar period, the engraved motif appears to reference much older Persian iconography, especially the tradition of griffin-like protective creatures seen in ancient seal art.

این انگشتر با شیوه انگشترهای مُهری ایرانی ساخته شده و دارای پایه فلزی زردرنگ و نگین آبی تیره با نقش کندهکاریشده است. نقش روی نگین بهصورت کندهکاری فرورفته اجرا شده و موجودی اسطورهای بالدار را نشان میدهد که میتوان آن را با احتیاط بهعنوان شیردال بالدار یا نقش شیر-گریفین توصیف کرد
فرم این موجود، ترکیبی از بدن جانور چهارپا و بال برافراشته است و به سنت تصویری کهنِ موجودات نگهبان و اسطورهای در هنر ایران و خاور نزدیک ارتباط دارد. اگرچه خود انگشتر به دوره قاجار منسوب است، نقش روی نگین یادآور شمایلنگاری بسیار کهنتر ایرانی، بهویژه نقشهای مُهری با موجودات محافظ و ترکیبی است.
